Focus on what is emerging rather than using static descriptions to give feedback to group members. Observations are used to give feedback about how people manage life situations. Group leaders focus on what is emerging and the future direction for what is occurring, rather than being locked onto the problematic or negative issues.

Thursday 12th March 2009: Strengths based group work (1-day) workshop

This workshop will explore the use of strengths-based group work applying common tools, exercises and resources. Strengths based ways of working allow us to arrive at respectful solutions to challenging situations in all aspects of life and group work.

Using strengths based tools and techniques we will explore some of the principles of strengths-based work, discuss ways you might use it in your group work and discover ways to build strengths into your practice.
